Vale Tech Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"), located in Prince George, British Columbia, creates the "Win The Day" application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy outlines how we handle your information based on the subscription plan you choose.
2. Data Storage & Plans
We offer two distinct tiers of service, which determine where your data lives:
Tier A: Offline Plan
Data Sovereignty: Your tasks, habits, and streak history are stored locally on your device's internal database.
What leaves the device: Only your Purchase Receipt (Entitlement). Your device communicates with our payment processor (RevenueCat) to verify your subscription status. Your actual task content is never uploaded to our cloud servers.
Tier B: Online Sync Plan
Cloud Synchronization: Your data is securely transmitted to Google Firebase servers. This allows you to log in on multiple devices (e.g., iPad and iPhone) and have your streak history synchronized in real-time.
Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/SSL) and at rest on Google's servers.
3. Information We Collect
- Identity Data (Auth): When you create an account, we collect a unique User ID and your email address via Google Firebase Authentication.
- Usage Data (Analytics): We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, non-identifiable data about app performance (e.g., "Screen A was opened," "App crashed"). This helps us fix bugs and improve the user experience.
- Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics. If the app crashes, a report containing the stack trace and device state is sent to us to help fix the issue. This does not contain your task content.
- Marketing Data: If you explicitly opt-in to our newsletter, we collect your email address. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email.
4. Internal Data Access Policy
For users on the Online Sync Plan, your data resides in our Firestore database. While our technical team technically possesses administrative access to the database for maintenance and security purposes, we adhere to strict internal policies:
"We do not access, read, or analyze user-generated content (your specific tasks or goals) unless explicitly required by law or requested by you for support purposes."

6. Data Retention & Deletion
You have the right to be forgotten. If you delete your account via the in-app settings:
- Online Plan: Your account record and all associated task data in our database are deleted immediately.
- Offline Plan: Since data is stored on your device, simply deleting the app removes the data.
- Backups: Residual copies in our system backups may take up to 30 days to clear, but are not accessible in the live system.
- Analytics: Anonymous usage data (which cannot be traced back to you) may be retained for statistical analysis.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
